Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.83%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.83% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 3.09% or 26.30 points to trade at 877.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) added 1.63% or 6.40 points to end at 398.60 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was up 1.57% or 14.40 points to 931.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 4.83% or 18.70 points to trade at 368.50 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 4.72% or 7.70 points to end at 155.50 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was down 3.12% or 63.00 points to 1,954.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 52 and 14 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to all time highs; rising 3.09% or 26.30 to 877.20. Shares in Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.63% or 6.40 to 398.60.

Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.75% or 0.60 to $79.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.35% or 0.29 to hit $83.26 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.26% or 26.45 to trade at $2,122.15 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.18% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 103.74.
