HOUSTON – NOV Inc. (NYSE: NOV), a pioneer in technology solutions for the global energy industry, announced today the addition of Patricia Martinez to its Board of Directors. The appointment, effective immediately, brings a seasoned expert in energy transition to the company’s governance as it navigates the evolving energy landscape.

Martinez, who has a robust background in both traditional and renewable energy sectors, previously held the title of Chief Energy Transition Officer at Enerflex Ltd. (TSX: EFX) (NYSE: EFXT) until her recent transition to NOV. Her experience spans across international markets, with a focus on developing projects in carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), hydrogen, and biogas.

The new board member’s career includes significant roles at Enerflex, where she led the Latin American business and played a key part in integrating assets from Axip Energy Services L.P. following its acquisition in 2014. Martinez’s tenure in the energy sector also includes leadership positions at Valerus Compression Services and sales and marketing roles at Shell (LON:SHEL) Oil Products U.S.

Martinez’s academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa and an MBA from Houston Baptist University. She also serves on the board of Par Pacific Holdings Inc. (NYSE: NYSE:PARR).

Clay Williams, Chairman, President, and CEO of NOV, expressed confidence that Martinez’s “deep insights into emerging energy opportunities” will be invaluable in shaping the company’s strategy for the energy transition.

With Martinez’s appointment, NOV’s board now comprises ten directors, nine of whom are independent, reflecting the company’s commitment to diverse and independent governance.

NOV has a longstanding history of over 150 years in delivering innovations that have significantly impacted the energy sector, focusing on safe and environmentally responsible operations. The company is actively engaged in supporting the energy industry’s transition to more sustainable practices.

This expansion of the board with Martinez’s expertise underscores NOV’s strategic focus on the energy transition, a critical area for the industry’s future. The information is based on a press release statement.
