ELGIN, Ill. – John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (NASDAQ:JBSS), the parent company of Great Value brand products, issued a voluntary recall today for a specific lot of its 8.25 oz Honey Roasted Cashews due to undeclared coconut and milk. This recall comes after a consumer discovered coconut cashews in a package labeled as honey roasted cashews, prompting an investigation that confirmed the mislabeling.

The affected Honey Roasted Cashews are marked with a “best if used by” date of Jul 08, 2025 GH2, found on the bottom of the plastic can. The UPC for the recalled product is 078742133348. The recall is limited to select Walmart (NYSE:WMT) stores across multiple states, including AL, AR, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VT, WV, as well as online purchases through Walmart.com.

Consumers with allergies to coconut or milk could face serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the mislabeled product. To date, no incidents or adverse reactions have been reported in connection with this recall.
