Movella (NASDAQ: MVLA), a technology company, announced the appointment of Marcum LLP as its new independent registered public accounting firm, effective Monday. The Board of Directors’ decision, recommended by the Audit Committee, marks a pivotal change in the company’s financial oversight.
The Audit Committee’s selection of Marcum was part of a structured process to determine the most suitable independent accounting firm for Movella. This decision follows the close of two fiscal years, ending December 31, 2023, and December 31, 2022, as well as the subsequent period leading up to the appointment date.
It is important to note that throughout this period, Movella did not engage with Marcum on any matters related to the application of accounting principles to specific transactions, whether completed or proposed.
Additionally, there were no disagreements or reportable events as defined under Regulation S-K Items 304(a)(1)(iv) and 304(a)(1)(v), respectively, between Movella and the newly appointed firm during the aforementioned time.
