CHANDLER, Ariz. – VIAVI Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV) today announced the launch of its INX™ 760 probe microscope, a new addition to its fiber optic test solutions portfolio, claiming to be the first fully automated probe microscope in the market. The device is designed for rapid inspection and analysis of fiber connectors across various applications, including data centers and telecom networks. The INX 760 is set to be presented at the upcoming Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) Conference and Exposition later this month.
The INX 760 microscope streamlines the inspection process by automating test setup, tip configuration, focus, analysis, and data storage. It features interchangeable AutoID tips that adjust the probe for different fiber connector types, and an internal imaging engine that maintains high-resolution imaging without sacrificing the field of view.
Kevin Oliver, Vice President and General Manager of Fiber and Access Solutions at VIAVI, emphasized the importance of fiber inspection to prevent network failures, stating that the INX 760 offers a solution that provides thorough and repeatable results quickly, catering to both seasoned and novice technicians.
The microscope also integrates with the VIAVI TPA™ Test ecosystem, enhancing productivity and collaboration among field teams. It is designed to help certify connectors to IEC-61300-3-35 standards and ensure optimal fiber network performance.
The INX 760 has recently been recognized with the 2024 Lightwave Innovation Reviews Award in the Field Test Equipment category, scoring 4.5 out of 5. This award represents VIAVI’s eighth consecutive win in this category.
