SOUTHLAKE, Texas – Sabre (NASDAQ:SABR) Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), a prominent technology provider to the global travel industry, announced the appointment of Gail Mandel as the non-executive Chair of the Board. Mandel, who has been a member of Sabre’s Board since April 2020, will assume her new role effective April 24, 2024, coinciding with the company’s Annual Meeting.

Mandel’s election comes as Sean Menke prepares to retire from the Board immediately before the Annual Meeting. Menke has played a significant role at Sabre, serving as its Executive Chair of the Board and previously as President and CEO since 2016. His leadership has been instrumental during the company’s technological transformation and the launch of product innovations.

“Gail brings a wealth of travel industry experience, financial acumen and insight to this role,” said Kurt Ekert, President, CEO and Board member of Sabre. “Her decades of experience leading complex global companies through strategic change make her the right choice to guide Sabre as we pursue our strategic priorities and vision.”

In her upcoming role, Mandel will also chair the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and be a member of the Compensation Committee. She has a notable background in the travel and hospitality industries, including her tenure as President and CEO of Wyndham Destination Network and various leadership roles at Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:TNL).
